Definition

Solutions for people formerly forcibly displaced include voluntary repatriton (or return) and in the case of refugees, resettlement in another country or integration within the host community (or naturalization). This data includes the return data that are part of the official population statistics as well as data on resettlement and naturalization.

Method of computation

The total number of people who have reached a solution is calculated by summing the total number of returned refugees (RET) and IDP returnees (RDP), resettled refugees (RST), and naturalized former refugees (NAT) for a given location and year.
